Big Bus Tours operates in 23 cities worldwide and needed to decarbonize its sightseeing fleet without impacting the customer experience. This required maintaining long daily routes in open-top double-decker buses while switching to electric drivetrains.

Equipmake delivered zero-emission electric drive systems for 10 Ankai open-top buses, including a 327kWh battery pack capable of more than 120 miles per charge. The system maintained full functionality and aesthetics while improving emissions performance. A follow-up order for 10 more repowers was placed in 2024.
