Equipmake collaborated with Swiss electric aviation specialist H55 to develop a bespoke SPM motor designed for direct drive of a light aircraft propeller.

The motor features a dual power lane, fault-tolerant architecture with magnetic, thermal, and galvanic isolation between electrical supplies ensuring the highest levels of safety and reliability in the air.

Under this collaboration, Equipmake is supplying electric motors for the BRM Bristell B23 Energic, an all-electric training aircraft.

In 2023, six prototype variant motors were successfully manufactured, underpinning the next generation of clean, electric flight.
